Blog Post 4: Video Game Lab

1.      This is the Only Level

“This is the Only Level” is an interesting yet complex gameplay. The character that the player is controlling is an elephant. The stages differs in terms of colors and how each obstacles on the stage changes. The game also challenges the emotional mood of the player because each stage gets so difficult that it makes the player get upsets and starts to swear at the monitor screen. However, is still addictive because it draws the attention of the player.
2.       Oregon Trail
“Oregon Trail” was not intriguing… I am being biased because the game made me do some unnecessary math. The math was a result of gathering supplies to travel. It was also a turn off because the game was mainly screen and after screen of reading what’s happening with the setting of the plot. It got really tiring really quickly.
3.       Jurassic Heart
“Jurassic Heart” is similar to a role playing game. The game is an attractive in terms of how cute the plot is. The plot is somewhat controlled by the player depending on which direction the player chooses. This makes the game more intriguing.
4.       You Have to Burn the Rope

“You have to Burn the Rope’s” gameplay is similar to Super Mario. The character is moving through a path and must defeat a boss by cutting the rope in each stage. It’s a cute mini action puzzle gameplay and can enjoyable with getting upset at the monitor screen.
5.       Passage
“Passage,” at first seems to be a game of nothing. However, if the player has enough patience and sit through the first stage of the game, this game becomes very thoughtful and meaningful. This game can be related to the players because it creates a meaning in love and relates to life. Even though the graphics of the game is not as pleasing but the plot of the game makes it very attractive and meaningful.
