1st Post - Adopt an Arcade game, play it, and blog it.

   1.  I chose the arcade game Street Fighter 2. This was kind of a bias choice because I grew up playing Street Fighter, Tekken, and similar fighting games, so that is why I chose SF. Even though the art or art quality isn’t as satisfying versus today’s games art quality, it brought back many fond memories of my childhood. In the past, I had chosen either Ken or Ryu, my favorite characters in Street Fighter. This time, I played as Ken. Unfortunately, I lost while fighting against another character in the game. Overall, it was more difficult than I remember in order to win in the game, so that was definitely disappointing.

2.   In an emulator, the controller is the keyboard, which can get very confusing. At the beginning, I thought the controls was W, A, S, and D on the keyboard, but it was Shift, Alt, Space, and Ctrl. Another difference is that for original hardware, the game can be play on different screens and as big as 48 inches screen, while on an emulator, there’s a limit on size. With that, emulator can be more convenient because it can be on a laptop so one can bring the game anywhere to play.
